          The comments people made on my photo were mainly positive, some negative.  My photo could be brighter, it is very dark.  However people thought my photo was cool and was a smart idea to take.  My picture has a lot of value and balance.  Overall, I the comments made on my photo were good ones and will help me further better my abilities in picture taking.

I took this picture because I like how much thought has to go in the safety of this school, this drainage system probably does a lot to slow down flowing water so the students around this area are safe.

I took this picture because this light is really cool, I found it in the PAC and thought the design around the light was neat as well, it kind of looks like a full moon.

I took this picture because I liked the scenery around the rocks, and it is a drainage system as well as a landscape.  I like things that have dual purposes.

I took this picture because this leaf is awesome looking.  I think this leaf is definitely a beautiful piece of nature and most people on Eldorado's campus probably just walk pas this leaf and think nothing of it.

I took this picture because I have never seen this before; I have been here for three years of my life and have still yet to see this.  Inside this greenhouse there are many plants being grown.

Gas Meter

I am not exactly sure what this piece of machinery is for, but it looks very important.  In fact, it is surrounded by fencing and has a pad lock on it so kids cannot mess with it.  I am assuming it has something to with maintaining how much gas is moving from in and out of the schools.

Hydrant

This picture can actually save someone's life.  If there is a fire, firemen can hook up two hoses to this pipeline, and put out the fire, hopefully with ease.

I took this picture because I do not believe I have ever seen a student of Eldorado actually going five miles per hour.  However not following this speed limit sign because five miles per hour is around walking speed.

I took this picture because students always park where this sign says not to.  I am not sure if they just do not see the sign, or they just choose to ignore it.

I took this picture because students at Eldorado inevitability do smoke on the Eldorado campus.  However I am NOT one of them I walk around campus and can smell it almost every day.

I took this picture because I really admire the extravagance of the colors that the artist used while making this.  It is a really admirable piece of artwork and I am surprised I have never noticed this until recently.

I took this picture because it is something I have never seen before.  At one point this year I did wonder where the kids that ride their bike to school put their bikes, so I set out to find the answer.  I did too, to my surprise these bikes are not tampered with by other students.

I took this picture because I find this bush to be a really nice piece of our environment here at Eldorado.  This bush has very nice colors even though it is next to very dull surroundings.

I took this picture because I thought it would be a rather cool picture.  I think the picture was successful.  The design and texture of the tube is very intriguing.  The spider web holding up pieces of nature is just an added bonus.

 I took this picture because it kind of upsets me, to me this picture is art that people just threw in a pile and did not appreciate enough.  A lot of this art is beautiful and deserves more admiration and maybe if someone sees this they can fix that.

I took this picture because the texture of this ditch is very interesting in my opinion.  Not only is the ditch interesting but the landscape of this whole picture is beautiful.  From the vegetation on the sides and the mountains in the back, I think this picture is quite remarkable.

I took this picture because I like to take in the natural beauty of Eldorado's campus.  These trees are up by the baseball fields, I rarely go up by the baseball fields, so these trees are, in fact, new to me.  I also like how blue the sky looks in this picture.

This week I decided to take pictures of just artwork done by Eldorado students.  A lot of things around Eldorado's campus is done by students, and goes without recognition, except from the art department.  I think the people that made these should get special recognition, and that their art should be restored when necessary.

These pictures may seem like common places for some people, but for me they are unfamiliar.  The art yard is probably used all of the time by people in art classes, same with the band field and band kids.  The bench is in memory of a woman named Heather Ames, who was a beloved colleague, teacher, and friend to the community of Eldorado.  I would like to see the administration have this bench moved to a more noticeable location on the campus, instead of hiding behind the science building.

Band Field

I took these pictures because I liked the landscape of them.  The pond picture is just has beautiful scenery in general.  The band field picture also captures the majestic mountains in the background.  All of these pictures have pretty shades of green in them, which is sometimes rare to find in the state we live in, and when we do see it, we think nothing of it and take it for granted.  It is ridiculous, really, we should admire these things when we have the chance to.  With this class I am trying to learn to not take these small things for granted.

These pictures are meant to show common things around Eldorado's campus.  Although they are common, and I pass by them almost every day I come to school, I have not noticed them until Tuesday.  This happens with a lot of things in life.  We are so accustomed to just going through the motions that we do not realize the beauty around us.  There are so many things in life that we miss because we are just focused on one thing and not just taking a moment to open our eyes and admiring the beautiful things in life.
